Davao City bizman hacked

A 40-YEAR-OLD businessman was hacked along the road of Purok 3, Mahayag, Davao City at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 21.

The victim was identified as Almer Lamudoc Mejias, married and a resident of the said area.

According to the initial investigation conducted by SPO3 Cristuto Pelenio of Bunawan Police Station, the victim, who was under the influence of liquor was on his way home together with his three-year-old son after attending a birthday party of his cousin when he was hacked by the suspect identified as Lionell Baquirell.


The suspect hit the left arm and back portion of the victim's body.

Report said that the victim was brought by the 911 ambulance at the San Pedro Medical Center for treatment while the suspect fled to an unknown direction after the incident.

The motive of the suspect was believed to be personal grudges.

Bunawan police are currently conducting a manhunt operation for possible apprehension of the suspect.
