Trader robbed, killed

A 52-YEAR-OLD businessman was killed after he was robbed last Thursday, August 14.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. at Purok 2, Bago Gallera, Talomo District, Davao City.

Police identified the victim as Arseno Balderas, married, a resident of the place.


According to initial investigation conducted by Police Officer 2 Joel Guanzon of the Calinan Police Station, the victim was driving his Blue MIT Canter with plate number GJV 611 when the killers riding on a red XRM motorcycle held him up and shot him several times.

Guanzon said the killers were only able to get some of the victim’s sales collections since more than P18,000 were recovered from inside his shoes, the pockets of his cargo pants, and the vehicle compartment.

Two helpers of the victim, according to the police report, had witnessed the incident and were invited by the police station 10 for investigation.

The cadaver of the victim was brought to St. Peter Funeral Homes for autopsy.

A follow-up investigation is currently being conducted by the police station to identify and apprehend the suspects.
