THE Anti-kidnapping Task Force presented on Thursday evening a Japanese national, who was believed to have been kidnapped, to Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

Duterte identified the victim as Yashuhiro Nakamura, a Japanese national who was allegedly been kidnapped in Maguindanao, Cotabato last April.

He said the authorities are still conducting further investigation about what really happened.

"Nakita siya ng anti-kidnapping task force. He was retrieved. Allegedly isang kidnap victim but I do not want to speculate whether it was a kidnap-me. We deal only with facts, the truth. As of this time, we do not speculate," he said.

He said Nakamura was referred to Japanese Consul Iguchi Ibara. (ANC)
