Security guard charged with slay try-A A +A

A SECURITY guard was charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office for trying to kill the pump boy of a gasoline station in a shooting incident at Tigatto Road, Buhangin, Davao City on Sunday.
Facing frustrated murder charges is Arman Singson Betil, 19, and a stay-in at My Gas gasoline station. He was charged for trying to kill Elbert Besande Bagay, 22.
Investigation of the Buhangin police revealed that the two were having an argument while rendering duty at the gas station. The suspect allegedly aimed his issued .38 caliber pistol at the victim but the latter tried to fight.
Bagay managed to run but while he was fleeing, he was shot on the foot by the suspect.
The victim was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center while the suspect was arrested by responding police officers of Mobile Patrol 77 led by Police Officer 3 (PO3) Peter John de Cadiz. Betil was then endorsed to the Buhangin police station.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was a caliber .38 pistol with four live ammos and one empty shell.
Betil is currently detained at the Buhangin police station while the recovered firearm and the medico-legal of Bagay will be used as evidence against the former in court. (RSA)
