WHILE authorities only have two remaining bricks of cocaine to recover out of the 64 bricks recovered from a container van at the Sumifru Wharf recently, a top official of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) said on Wednesday they are still in the limbo in finding out the port of origin of the illegal drugs.

BOC Commissioner John Sevilla said they still have no lead on when and where the cocaine bricks may have been loaded.

The BOC commissioner also said that if the cocaine was loaded in the private wharf then it will not be the concern of the Customs anymore.

But he was quick to add that the only thing they could do is to find ways on how the Customs could supervise the entry of imports in private container yards.

When asked if there is a need to impose the Customs' security measures in private yards, Sevilla said: "It is premature to say that since we don't know the facts yet. First, of all titingnan natin saang port ba pumasok yan at bakit hindi na-detect yan?

But he assured that their focus are securing the public ports and if there will be any questionable imports of the same circumstance, the agency can seize the illegal drug contrabands.
