Raps readied vs truck driver in Sasa mishap-A A +A

CHARGES are set to be filed before the City Prosecution Office against a man who figured in a road accident that killed one at Km. 10, Sasa, Davao City last Sunday.
Set to face charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property is Ronaldo Tampos, 39, resident of Dumoy in Toril and driver of an Isuzu truck with trailer and plate umber PUX896.
He will be charged after he was pointed as responsible for the death of Allan Redito Arsinio, 30, and a resident of Cabantian, Buhangin.
Investigation of the Sasa police revealed that the accident took place at around 11 p.m. particularly in front of the Global Gulf Container Yard.
The vehicles involved were the truck driven by Tampos and the Suzuki motorcycle with temporary plate number 1112-00000353767 driven by Arsinio.
Both vehicles were reportedly travelling on the same lane coming from the north and heading south. Upon reaching the place of impact, the motorcycle of Arsinio slammed on the rear portion of the Tampos’ truck.
The victim was killed on the spot after succumbing to a fatal head injury and was taken to the Rivera Funeral Homes.
Investigators suspected that Tampos may have changed lanes without turning on the signal light thus, the victim may have not noticed and it may have resulted to the crash.
Tampos is currently detained at the Sasa police station while his truck was impounded there as well.
