Woman faces gun raps-A A +A

A WOMAN is facing charges before the City Prosecution Office after she was arrested for illegal possession of firearm and threatening to kill another woman at Times Beach in Matina Aplaya, Davao City on Wednesday.
Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and grave threat is Rachel Calanog Tan, 47, and a resident of Tinikling St., Lanzona Subd., Matina. She was charged for allegedly threatening to kill Methus Carbonel, 31, at her boarding house.
Based on the investigation conducted by Talomo police, the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. The suspect stormed inside the boarding house of the victim armed with a caliber. 38 pistol. She allegedly intended to confront Carbonel as the latter was allegedly a paramour of the suspect's husband.
A commotion ensued when Tan and Carbonel met inside the boarding house. This prompted Mark Villarubia, a security guard of Blackmace Security Agency and a renter of the same boarding house, to arrest the suspect.
Villarubia held Tan until Talomo police responded at the scene and arrested her.
Tan is currently detained at the Talomo police station.
