POLICE have yet to file charges before the City Prosecutor’s Office against a man for allegedly tried to kill his father and brother at Doña Pilar Subdivision in Sasa, Davao City on Friday night.
The victims were identified as William Tabar Monocillo, 69, and his brother James Sagot Monocillo, 43, both residents of No. 43 Peter Street, Doña Pilar Subdivision Phase 1, Sasa.
The suspect was identified as Jovencio Sagot Monocillo.
Record from the Sasa Police Station showed that the incident happened around 6:20 p.m.
The suspect, who was believed to be intoxicated, was throwing stones at their house, breaking jalousies and appliances inside the house.
The suspect also threw stones at the motorcycle of his brother James, prompting William to caution Jovencio. But the latter instead took a knife and tried to stab his father. William was able to elude the attac and disarmed his son with the help of James.
The suspect is already detained at the Sasa Police Station, after his father and brother endorsed him to policemen. Jovencio will be facing charges for attempted parricide and malicious mischief, following the chaos he brought to his family.
