DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte advised those who will seek the position for president in 2016 to "demand peace" among the so-called government's enemies.

Duterte said he advised them to go to the leaders of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and National People's Army (NPA).

He mentioned the MILF, Nur Misuari of MNLF, Professor Jose Marie Sison, the chief consultant of the National Democratic Front on the peace negotiations, and Leoncio "Ka Parago" Pitao, leader of the First Pulang Bagani Battalion of the NPA.

"That is my advice to a presidential candidate na kung ako, hindi bilang Rodrigo Duterte, kunwari lang, pupunta ako sa MILF, are you satisfied? Payag ba kayo mag president ako? Kasi kung hindi kayo papayag, ayaw ko na. Pupunta ako kang Nur (Misuari), tanungin ko siya kung papayag ba siya. Kasi kung bottomline niyan is peace. Kasi kung hindi siya papayag, hindi ako tatakbo ng president," he said.

"Pupunta ako sa camps ng NPA. Pupuntahan ko si Joma Sison, tatanungin ko siya kung payag siya. Kung sasabihin niya hindi, good. Kung papayag siya, alam mo na. Because I will demand from you, peace," he added.

"Adtuon nako si Parago, musugot ba ka presidente. Kay kung musugot ka, istorya gyud ta. Wa tay laing istoryahan, kapayapaan. Ipugos gyud nako na (A presidential candidate should ask Communist rebel leader Ka Parago if he agrees, and if he does, he should sit down and talk about how to achieve peace). There has to be peace in the land. To Nur, alam ko may sakit ka sa loob mo. Then how can we talk things over. Pagkapumayag ka, ididiin ko talaga peace. Storya ta unsay maayo sa Pilipinas, that is my advice," he said.

Duterte said that will be his personal advice to Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senator Chiz Escudero, and Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.

The three are reportedly running for president come 2016.

"They have to go out and talk to them. Pero ako, count me out. I am not interested. I am not qualified. I do not intend to be president because ayaw ko dahil pagkatapos ng term ko ikukulong niyo lang ako. So I don't deserve that kind of destiny," Duterte said.

Further, he also gave an advice to the Filipino voters: "Tsaka mamili kayo ng president na maganda ang bunganga, ako nagmumura talaga eh if I'm angry. I do not hide my sentiments, even in front of the Senate."
