A TOTAL of P50,000 worth of cash were taken from a media service cooperative after unidentified robbers broke into its office on Mars Street at GSIS Subdivision in Matina, Davao City on Tuesday morning.

Police identified the complainant as Ellen Pajo Alinea, 43, a finance head of MindaNews, of Davao City. Alinea filed complaint before the Talomo Police Station in Matina at 9:05 a.m.

Alinea said the robbers could have gained entry between 1 to 6 a.m. of the same day.

She and their staff Gregorio Bueno arrived at the office around 8 a.m. only to find that the jalousie blades of the comfort room have already been detached.

They found that the locker was opened and the P25,000 hidden there missing. Another P25,000 placed inside a gray sling bag was also missing.

Superintendent Julius E. Silagan, chief of the Talomo police, said they still do not have a suspect. (Ivy C. Tejano)
