THE names of five erring employees of City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) who are allegedly involved in a P9-million “corrupt” activity will be revealed today, City administrator lawyer Melchor Quitain assured.

“We will tell you kahit ano pa ang naging decision ng panel,” Quitain told reporters in an interview at his office on Friday, January 17.

In a media advisory sent by City Information Officer Leo Villareal, Assistant city administrator for operations lawyer Jhopee Avanceña-Agustin said Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has already signed the 18-page decision against the five.

Agustin is one of the members of investigating panel, along with her are Assistant city administrator for administration Atty. Tristan Dwight Domingo and City Legal Officer Atty. Osmundo Villanueva, the chairman.

Villareal said the announcement of the decision is scheduled today, January 20, and will be held at the City Hall Training Center at 10:30 a.m. after the department heads’ meeting.

Quitain earlier said they cannot disclose any details on the decision since Duterte was yet to sign it.

However, he said he “strongly recommends” the decision made by the panel.

Although those who investigated are mum on the details of the case, Sun.Star learned from another source that this case involved the illegal use of receipts such that at least P9-million were skimmed.
