KAPUSO hunk Dennis Trillo shared some secrets on how he maintains his well-sculpted physique during his visit here for the 78th Araw ng Dabaw. In an interview with the Davao entertainment press last March 15 at Chippens restaurant, the 33-year-old actor revealed that no matter how busy he is, he always makes it a point to find time for fitness.

"If walang time dahil nga sa sobrang busy, may mga gamit naman ako sa kotse ko. May dala akong kettlebells. May mga routines din akong ginagawa kahit nasa loob lang ng kotse naghihintay para walang nasasayang na oras. Sayang din naman kasi ang oras," he said.

The former lead star of the gay-themed primetime series "My Husband's Lover" also shared that inactivity is actually dangerous to one's health. "Kasi 'yung inactivity ay malakas syang makapanghina. Nabasa ko rin sa isang article na sitting is dangerous than smoking so mas gusto kong mag-multi-tasking," Dennis said.

The "Sunday All Stars" performer and co-host shared that apart from his kettlebells, he likewise makes sure that his mountain bike is always in his car. Dennis has been into biking since his high school days.

"Matagal na rin akong nagba-bike. High school days pa lang ay talagang nagba-bike na ako...Basta lagi ko lang dala talaga. Bitbit ko lang s'ya parati sa kotse ko," he said.

The lead star of the upcoming biopic "Sugo" added that during weekends, or on days when he has no taping or work, his mountain bike is among his favourite buddies.

Aside from toning his muscles with his kettlebells and through trail-biking, the ex-boyfriend of Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado is a frequent visitor of the fitness gym, too. And he stays in the gym at least twice a week.

"Ako kasi pag pumupunta ako ng gym ay sinusulit ko talaga. Halos doon na ako tumatambay sa gym. I stay there for at least two hours or a maximum of four to five hours," the handsome bachelor said.

However, with his role in "Sugo", he has to trim down, that's why he is more on cardio exercises now rather than on weightlifting.

"Hindi na masyado ngayon kasi nga kailangan kong magpaliit kaunti para doon sa pelikula. 'Yung mga binubuhat ko ngayon ay hindi na masyadong mabibigat," he said, adding that his diet now is more on fruits and vegetables, and he limits rice.

In "Sugo", Dennis plays the role of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) founding evangelist Felix Manalo. The movie is expected to be released by July this year.

The former leading man in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo comic story "Darna", meanwhile, divulged that he also has "cheat days" to satisfy his cravings for sweets.

"Mahilig ako sa sweets, eh, like chocolates, doughnuts. Pero maswerte lang talaga ako kasi medyo mabilis ang metabolism ko, eh, kaya ok lang na kumain ako," he shared.
