"WE have the best, the country can offer," said KazOnozawa, chief financial officer of Spectrum Philippines, one of the biggest party event organizers in the country.

Spectrum Philippines holds invasion tours, which are massive dance parties, that tour around the country's main festivals.

Last festival season, Spectrum invaded Bacolod's Masskara Festival and went to Cebu's Sinulog, then closing out the successful invasion season with Iloilo's Dinagyang.

According to Kaz, the Kadayawan Invasion (August 16, Crocodile Park) will be Spectrum's first foray into Mindanao particularly Davao which has seen a good number of massive dance parties organized by event organizers such as Manic Nightnings (Carte Blanche, Liberalia) and Mustard Seed Events (Sunbaked, Summerfrolic).

Recently, Kaz and the Kadayawan Invasion event was caught in the headlines when his erstwhile event partner Kat Dalisay and her Manic Nightnings team were grilled by the City Council on issues such as incorrect payment of taxes and possible violations of Women's Code over the improper attire and dresses worn by partygoers and also alleged violations on the city's liquor and smoking ban ordinances.

Fortunately, City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte issued clarificatory statements over his program Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa particularly on the issue of dress codes as part and parcel of an individual's freedom of expression.
Kazsaids the controversy was both bad and good publicity. "It was partly good because a lot of people became curious about the event."

With his erstwhile local partner's business license revoked, another local partner stepped in to rescue the day, Marco Philip Dizon of PSD Adventure World will be partnering with Spectrum for the event.

Kaz said they will comply with the city's regulations in the holding of the event.

"We have met with the City Government, we complied with the requirements and we're ready with the paperworks," Kaz said during his guesting at SM City Davao's Kapehan sa Dabaw.

He said definitely minors would be served no liquor, there will be a smoking ban and liquor will stop flowing during the start of the curfew hour. As for the dress code Kaz says ideally what you wear is your choice but we are confident enough nobody will come without their clothes on.
Kaz said the festival is more of a music festival rather than a rave party.

"Mas focus siyasa music. You are there to listen to new music," Kazssaid of the Kadayawan Invasion.

There will be eight DJs during the event they will come from Manila, Cebu and Davao. Kaz said they will be the best in the industry. Among these DJs include Ace Ramos who in 2010 was voted as Best DJs in the Urban Music Awards and Nix Damn P who in 2011 bagged the championship trophy in the Best Buy DJ Spin Off in L.A., besting other respected DJs from the US.

Kaz says the Kadayawan Invasion will be some sort of a happy music festival where people will come for the music churned out by the best DJs in the country.

Apart from the DJs, a fair park will also feature themed concessionaires during the event.

"We believe in Davao's entertainment scene," Kaz said and the holding of the Kadayawan Invasion will be one unforgettable spectacle.

Kadayawan Invasion (August 16, Crocodile Park, event starts at 4 p.m.) VIP tickets are sold at P2,000 (drink all you can) and General Admission tickets at P350 (one free drink)

Tickets are sold at Gaisano Mall Information Booth, Happy Lemon (The Peak Gmall and SM Lanang), Bo's Coffee Torres, Brewery (Damosa and Obrero), Metro Lifestyle, Crocodile Park.
