Here we go now – as we step up in finding ways to prevent the increase of uric acid in your blood.
5. Say NO to alcohol and Soft Drink
You are certainly stepping in to your enemy’s territory should you drink alcohol because it would increase the production of uric acid. And should you combine your alcohol with some soda, expect some double whammy screams since soft drink would block the absorption of calcium and may even out to waste the calcium in your body…tsk, tsk, tsk.
6. Say No to fried food, if not reduce them
Fats and oils from fried foods tend to turn rancid especially, if these oils are used over and over again. The problem is, if the fats become rancid, they can increase the uric acid production in your blood. So, think twice before you bite those crunchy French fries or some mouth-watering crispy fried chicken. I think it’s time for you to try some soupy foods instead – if your favorite food is fried foods. Remember, if you want to CRY, then FRY!
7. Say YES to Sexual Activity
This is good if you are married. But, if you’re not, then, it’s time for you to walk down the aisle…hehe…joke, joke, joke… Sex and sexual activities like kissing can relax the nerves and your body system. When this happens, your immune system will boost. Moreover, sex can make you urinate thus, reducing the concentration of uric acid in your blood. So, heat up your rooms and have fun with your wife.
But, remember whatever you do make sure you have the discipline needed to make you stick with your regimen. You should know the foods you are eating and write in your journal your trigger foods. Since there is no level of the uric acid that will make a gout attack likely because everyone of us have their own unique threshold, you should pay attention to what your body is telling you on how it reacts to certain foods. Of course, if you are in doubt with your diet, be sure to see your physician. He still knows what’s good for you.
I hope you follow those tips above and with the previous issue wholeheartedly. Because it is only when you have the discipline coupled with that flaming desire to change your lifestyle and make your life much better to live when you will be able to experience life at its best.
Of course, in the event of a gouty attack, especially when the pain gets tougher, don’t hesitate to call your doctor.
