WHILE his friends all go down the pub, he is indoors doing night feeds. But, Bryan Lee S. Lingaolingao, 18, got this wonderful child.

Bryan has an 11-days-old daughter, Brianna Louise, to her two-year girlfriend Ana Patrixia G. Dujon.

He is just one of the few who battled to take on the role of being a young dad.

One thing people always ask him is if he regrets having a baby this young. He does not.

"It really got to me. We found out it was a girl and I suddenly had this really strong feeling of wanting to do everything I could for her," Bryan said.

As young as he is, he wants to be involved in his child’s life.

Although they live separately, Bryan finds time to visit his daughter and Ana and spend quality time with them.

Hearing Brianna's first cry and witnessing her first smile changed his total being.

When he learned that he got Ana pregnant, he thought of resorting to abortion taking into context that they are both too young to raise a family.

But everything changed the moment Brianna came along.

"I felt this massive sense of responsibility and decided to do everything," he said.

He is starting to see all the good sides of being a young dad.
Bryan just thanked his family and Ana's for accepting them as young parents.

Although it is a bit struggle for them to handle such huge responsibility, both of them try hard to change everyone's double standard when they learn about how young they are of having a child.

Bryan believes Brianna is the best blessing he has in his entire life.
He wants to do best in school and finish his studies very soon to be able to financially capable of raising his daughter.

Bryan is a civil engineering student of University of Mindanao.

On the other side of the coin, the downside of having a family of his own at a very young age is that it feels a bit like he has not lived his life.

His friends all go down the pub while he is indoors doing night feeds. But then again, he has an angel.

Young dads are often maligned by society. But, as Bryan proves, it has turned his life around, face up to grown-up responsibilities and swap socializing for night feeds.

Everyone assumed he can’t cope, but he has.

He loves his family as much as any older dad. But, he said he would never advise guys to plan to have a child really young.

Bryan could not help but think what good he has done to deserve a blessing as precious as Brianna.

Despite all the criticisms he gets from friends or from the society, so to speak, Bryan is thankful for the best lesson that Heavens gave him.
Bryan wants nothing else but the grand for his daughter.

He wants his daughter grow with grace and love, finding him not just as her father, but a friend, a hero, and a greatest fan she will be proud of. ANC
