IT WAS a day of gratitude among the residents of Barangay Tigatto, Davao City as the premier mid-cost real estate developer 8990 Housing Development Corporation turned over its 35 square meters Police Outpost and 70.2 sqm Day Care and Health Centers on April 10, 2014.

8990 HDC formally turned over the establishments along Deca Homes Esperanza in the presence of barangay Tigatto captain Raul Bicong, Buhangin Police chief superintendent Ruben Ramos, Davao City Councilors Danilo Dayanghirang and Bernard Al-ag.

Assistant general manager Mary Ann Chua of 8990 HDC said during the turnover speech, “This is the realization of our oath to maintain peace and order in barangay Tigatto and make education more accessible to the young ones. We entrust these establishments unto the community to be used accordingly.”

Supt. Ramos lauded 8990 HDC for their commitment not just in developing quality and affordable residential homes but at the same time implementing their corporate social responsibility, wholeheartedly.

“Kung sana lahat ng mga subdivisions ay makapagbibigay ng mga police outposts and iba pang basic needs ng community, siguradong magkakaroon ng peace and order. Pero kinakailangan parin ang kooperasyon ng mga residente para maging matagumpay ang mga proyektong katulad nito,” Ramos said.

Barangay captain Bicong meanwhile said that 8990 HDC has always been one of the forerunners of barangay Tigatto’s community services.

“Masaya kami dahil mas dadami na ang mga batang makakapag-aral at mga ina na mabibigyan ng tamang serbisyo-medikal. We lack school materials as of the moment but we will coordinate with the City Social Services Development Office for the day care program. We also encourage all the residents for active participation to address all the problems in the barangay,” Bicong said.

The newly turned-over police outpost, day care and health centers will provide additional services to the almost 17,000 residents of Barangay Tigatto.

8990 HDC holds true to their promise of not just providing comfortable living for the Dabawenyo families but at the same time continues their commitment of being in partnership with the government for nation building.
