Boyd’s in Kidapawan

-A A +A

HAVING missed a quick trip to Cotabato City because I overslept Good Friday morning, I remembered I still had this place to eat on my last trip from that city that I hadn’t written about. It was on our way home, on a stopover in Kidapawan City, when Datu Muss suggested we have snack cum early dinner at Boyd’s.

Yeps, it’s the same Boyd’s as what we used to have at Palma Gil Street in Obrero (near Wheels ‘n More), that has since closed shop. They still have the yummy loaf bread.

The big difference between the Boyd’s we had here and the Boyd’s in Kidapawan is that the one in Kidapawan is in a house and is a hodge-podge of knick-knacks that makes you feel right at home.

They have pizza and pasta. Their pasta are really good, and in big servings at that for the price you’re getting them.

Their pizza, too, have crusts that are crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. But I will not mind if they add a tad more toppings and cheese to them.

The place has no aircon but with big windows, it’s like you’re hanging out at your own house, and while digesting the heavy snack cum early dinner we had, we let our eyes roam around the knick-knacks that are hanged and arranged all around the place.

Boyd’s since 1997, it says in its sign as you enter.

I’m not sure where it is, I forgot to ask. But I saw Jollibee near the kanto. You can always ask around, it’s in the poblacion.

And yes, they still have the yummy loaf bread that you can take home.
