HAVE you ever wanted to become a surgeon but didn't have what it took to pursue graduate studies? Well now you'll get the chance to know how it is to be a surgeon, even without a degree! Well, only sort of.

Enter Amateur Surgeon 3, the third game in Adult Swim's Amateur Surgeon series. The game follows the usual gameplay of the series, where people with outrageous injuries enlist the help of the character to help them get better.

Patients can be afflicted with the usual cuts and burns, but more over-the-top injuries are also frequent in the game, such as patients having live bugs inside their body, ever-growing boils, stones lodged inside their lungs and even broken bones.

How does our character save the day, you ask? Improvisation, of course! To cut into your patients, you'll use a trust pizza cutter, to close wounds, you'll have a stapler, and to cauterize, nothing will beat a handy lighter. More extreme circumstances such as lungs covered in cement will require extreme measures as well, such as a chainsaw.

Amateur Surgeon 3 also introduces the tag mechanic, where you'll enter an operation with a tag partner whose powers you can activate after performing combos, that is, multiple surgical actions in quick succession without making mistakes. These tag partners can offer help such as raising the heart rate of a patient, doubling the payout after the operation or even reviving a flat-lined patient.

Your tools can also be upgraded to be more effective and other partners can be purchased to give different benefits during surgery.

The simple but fun gameplay is easy to pick up and play, especially with the responsive touch controls. Best of all? It's free on the App Store. So go on and download and start cutting up your patients. Just don't forget to close them up.
