Lighten dark neck (Last of two parts)-A A +A
Tuesday, January 21, 2014
DEAR Elle of DC,
Here’s the continuation as promised…
Soak four to five pieces of almonds overnight. Grind this in the morning and make a paste. Leave this in your neck area for 30 minutes. Then, rinse it off with water.
It will help prevent more spots formation.
Use potato juice
Pour this into your body scrub and rub it to your neck area.
Mix oats with tomato puree and scrub it to your neck area.
It will help remove dead skin cells to make your skin look brighter.
Hide them with makeup.
This is the fastest way while you’re doing those regimens above. You can dab some concealers over the area. Remember just a dab – or else, you won’t look good. But, be sure to be patient as you really have to look for the shade that will fit your skin tone. You really have to do a lot of mixing and matching. So, you better find a friendly sales lady to help you.
If all of the above fails, then, it’s time for you to have some skin peel. See your aesthetic dermatologist. You can also see me. Please contact Jen at 09262100835 for appointment and for more details.
Now, for some fashion advise. Scarves are not your only way out to cover that unsightly dark neck. Why not make use of polo-neck tops, cowl-neck tops or loose turtlenecks. Although cowl-neck styles don't hide as much of your problem area, they draw the eye away from the neck to the clothing. Turtlenecks may possibly hide your flaws, but, they are not good when times are hot. You may also find them constricting. That’s the reason, why I don’t like them.
You can also switch from round or boat-neck tops to shirts with collars. You may also wear a man's style shirt with the collar up and close it at the neck with a stylish brooch, for that feminine touch. You can also choose shirts with high, frilled necks or those with pussy-cat bow types.
