AN INTERNATIONAL real estate organization will be coming to Davao City on January 28 to educate local licensed real estate practitioners on having a real estate business outside of the Philippines, a business leader said.

Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) past president Dr. Ma. Lourdes Monteverde, speaking in Monday's edition of Davao Press Club's Kapehan sa Dabaw, said National Association of Realtors-International Realtor Member (NAR-IRM)'s NAR-United States of America and NAR-Asia Pacific will be orienting 200 licensed real estate service practitioners and brokers during the IRM Forum on January 28 at the Bistro Rosario with the theme "Mapping the Future: Getting Ready for the Asean Economic Integration."

"The event is every timely because next year, the Asean Economic Integration will take effect and the Philippines will be affected in many different ways," she said.

Monteverde said the organization will be orienting the delegates on how they can do real estate business outside the Philippines like how they will set up their offices in another state.

"They will not only provide orientation on how to set-up in the Asean region but also in a global scale," she said.

Monteverde said Republic Act 9646 or the Real Estate Service Act of the Philippines, which mandates real estate practitioners to get a license, allows real estate practioners conduct business easier outside the country.

Aside from the IRM Forum, members of the Philippine Real Estate Service Practitioners (Philres) will also be coming to the event to induct the first set of officers of the very first Philres Davao.

Philres was enacted through the Real Estate Service Act of the Philippines and is the only accredited integrated professional organization for licensed real estate service practitioners and brokers.
