TWO beautiful queens arrived in Davao City recently to remind Mindanawon moms to get on the open field with exuding confidence and glamour as it's never too late to bag a crown in the prestigious national beauty pageant.

Mrs. Philippines-Globe national director Morena Carla Cabrera announced, in a press conference at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao recently, that the prestigious national pageant for married women and single moms will be scouting potential queens from the city.

"This year is bigger and better. We celebrate it with family, showcasing the different facets of being a woman," she said.


Mrs. Philippines-Globe 2012 Joyce Pascual-Agsaway said the pageant has paved way for the improvement of her skills as a hotelier.

"Career-wise, it helps me as a hotelier for 10 years. It gives more opportunities abroad," she said.

Organizers of the national beauty pageant will be holding screenings in different areas in the country.

For Mindanao, screening will be held in Marco Polo Hotel Davao on April 2, 2013 from 1p.m. to 6p.m. For Central Luzon, the screening will be in Pampanga at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando.

Moms and single moms in Visayas area can fly in to Cebu for a screening at Marriott Hotel in Lahug while those in GMA and South Luzon can visit Paseo Parkview Suites on 142 Valero St., Salcedo Village in Makati City.

The elegible contestants who will vie for the crown as the next Mrs. Philippines-Globe, must be; Filipino citizens, aged 26 to 45 years old, at least 5'4 in height, excellent physical health condition, college level or a higher degree, and with good moral character.

In a press briefer, the title holder will win P50,000 cash and P300,000 worth of prize.

The next Mrs. Philippines Global can also vie for the most coveted title as the Mrs. Globe.

The heiress for the title of next "Woman of Substance" shall also be selected from among the contestants of the pageant.
