THE days where a website is as static as it can be and can only be viewed on a desktop computer are gone. The days where a website is viewed in multiple devices and users now require or look for interactivity are upon us.

This only makes it more sensible to design and build websites that respond to the multitude of devices that we view websites on - mobile phones, tablets, small-screen laptops. There’s nothing more annoying to a small-device user to zoom in on websites because it doesn’t respond automatically to the kind of device that it is being viewed on.

It looks to be the next phase in web design and it’s being adopted quite rapidly with the explosion of mobile phones and tablets.

So here’s an infographic from Dot Com Infoway (DCI) on what it’s about.
