Hack Attacks

Hack Attacks, Mobile Office and Visualizations

In today's age of technology and the inter-connectivity, a new war front line has risen - the internet. Cyber attacks on different targets are launched daily. I won't talk about statistics in depth here because that will take a long time. And if I do, you'd just get bored.

Instead, let me show you an infographic about hacking and share with you a website where you can watch, in real time, hack attacks. It's like watching a video game except that you don't have control over anything. You just watch things happen.

Mobile Office

In a recent announcement, Google now has a possible competitor to the Microsoft's Office suite on mobile. According to an article by The Verge, Google is now making things easier via Slides (their presentation app) and Sheets (their spreadsheet app). Google Docs and Sheets are both available now for Android and iOS. Slides, however, is still available only for Android. It still waits approval from iTunes before it's made available for iOS users.

If you're looking for an alternative to MS Office especially a free alternative, Google's offerings are something I recommend that you check out. Yes, it's not as feature rich as MS Office but if you're the average, everyday user, you really don't need all the bells and whistles that MS Office offers.

Oh, have I mentioned already that Google's office apps now support MS Office file formats natively? Yes, that's right. Docs, Sheets and Slides will not convert those MS Office files anymore. That's pretty handy if you ask me.

Here are a few other interesting data visualizations for this week.
