THE nightlife in Davao City becomes livelier as more Dabawenyos are getting more active in party events.

Manic Nightnings Production proprietor Katrina Mae Dalisay, who was a guest in Wednesday's edition of Club 888 at Marco Polo Hotel, said more Dabawenyos are becoming open-minded to the new trends in partying and nightlife.

"We see a change in the genre that they are into, many young Dabawenyos are enjoying electronic dance music (EDM). Also parties are being held outdoors nowadays rather than indoors," she said.

This is very much evident with the concluded Carte Blanche last November 2013 at the Crocodile Park concert ground wherein some 10,000 party goers attended the event making it the number 1 EDM event in the country last year.

Their two other events, Reverie at Abreeza Mall and Elements at SM Lanang Premier, were attended by some 3,000 to 4,000 party goers, respectively.
Dalisay also said the ordinances are not much a hindrance to the party scene and nightlife of Davao City. She said they just simply need to adjust with the ordinances.

"For Liberalia, which will be held on March 15, 2014 at the Crocodile Park, we will be strictly implementing the rules and regulations of the city. We will begin the party at 3 p.m. and end at 2 a.m.," she said.

Liberalia will be the first neon glow party in the city and will feature the country's top DJs.

They are hoping that Liberalia will break Carte Blanche's record.
