ARMED with her positive outlook and charming personality, Mariestella "Maris" Racal tagged as the "Singing Sunshine ng Davao" is slowly making its name, especially when she was chosen to be one of the Big Four on the recently concluded, Pinoy Big Brother All-In.

She finished 2nd in the Pinoy Big Brother ALL IN Season this 2014.

The singing sweetheart has a lot of dreams and wishes to fulfill as she embraces a new life after her stint inside the PBB house.


The 16-year old pride of Tagum City, will soon visit her home town to personally extend her "Thank You" to those who supported her while she's inside of the famous Bahay ni Kuya.

In a telephone interview with Payti Racal, elder sister of Maris, she said that for now she can't give an exact date when her younger sister will visit Tagum for her homecoming.

"For now, busy pa gyud siya sa mga guestings niya, mao nga dili pa gyud namo masulti kanus-a gyud ang exact date. Pero makig-coordinate mi kang mayor (Tagum City Mayor Rey Rellon) ug sa iyang school para sa iyang homecoming."

Payti also added that since day one, their family is confident that Maris will make it this far.

"Knowing sa iyang kakayahan, sa iyang talent, naisip namo nga maabot gyud siya sa Big four. Confident ko sa iyang ugali, kay kabalo nakabalo siya makig-deal sa housemate, unsa ang iyang ugali sa Bahay ni Kuya mao sab sa among balay."

Payti describes her sister as a happyp-go-lucky person, respectful, and composed that she does not get mad easily.

Maris is an incoming freshmen college and wants to pursue medicine.

"Plano niya before mosulod sa PBB mo-school siyag medicine, siguro after ani, i-grab niyaang opportunity nganaay offer sa iyaha na pag-artista, but I know dili niya kalimtan ang iyang education."

The pride of Tagum City was the 10th PBB All In housemate introduced last April 27 this year.

She grew up as a music lover, knowing that her family is musically inclined.

This young lady also learned how to play guitar through watching video tutorials on YouTube.

Aside from guitar strumming, Maris also knows how to play the piano, ukelele and beatbox.

Aside from being a musician and singer, she also excels in acting and dancesports.

Maris is the fifth child of the six siblings.

She finished her high school at St. Mary's Tagum.

With the overwhelming support her sister got, Payti is overwhelmed and always be thankful to all who extended their votes for her sister.

"Thank you sa inyohang pagtiwala kang Maris nga makaabot sa iyahang naabot karon, sa mga suporta sa pagboto."

As of the moment, Maris is still busy with her showbiz commitments in Metro Manila.
