"I WANT to get scared."

This was rock singer and actor, Marc Abaya's reply when asked why he tried to venture into show business even as he's already making a name in the music industry.

Marc is the son of director Manolo Abaya and the late multi-awarded director Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

With this, Marc felt the pressure, the reason why he is doing his best to give justice to every role given to him.

"Thru the gigs kasi with MTV na-develop yung hosting skills ko. Sa tugtugan lumabas ako, naniniwala ako nag-cross-over ako sa pag artista kasi again maraming nanibago dun so I found the solution to be self-aware," said Marc who also tried doing video jockeying (VJ).

The actor already played variety of roles, but he confesses he still feels the pressure every time he is set to do a scene.

"Sa acting po takot ako dun. Everyday natatakot pa rin ako lalo na pag nakakatapat ko mga magagaling na artista that I respect, oh my god! Mas lalo na most of them naka-trabaho si mama, so para sa akin it's my job to honor my mother by doing well. I've been acting since 2009. Feeling ko pa rin baguhan pa rin po ako eh. Everyday may natutunan akong bago," added Marc who graced the 29th Kadayawan Festival here with other Kapuso stars, like Dingdong Dantes and Lovi Poe, the main cast of GMA drama series Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.

The trio gave an ultimate performance to the delight of their Dabawenyo fans during the Kapuso Mall Show last August 17.

Marc added that being a son of movie directors, his parents shared a lot of good pointers to help him improve more his craft.

"The most important tip my mom ever gave me being an artist, an entertainer, thru music or acting yung mahalaga po is yung audience. Mas mahalaga yung audience kesa sa sarili, dahil sa pinasukan kong larangan na musika at singing, don't ever under estimate your audience."
