FIVE years after it was established in Cagayan de Oro City, Missy Bon Bon has taken root in Davao City.

The restaurant chain has opened two branches in the city -- a small store at its commissary on Bacaca Road, which opened in February, and a full store at the lower ground floor at Gaisano Mall of Davao, which opened on March 20.

Missy Bon Bon is co-owned by Henrik Yu, his wife Anne Yu, and their friend Cathy Genabe and their Davao City partner Gladys Surposa.

It serves pastries, gelato, sandwiches, and pastas.

Henrik Yu said Missy Bon Bon serves gelato, which is different from commercial ice cream since it uses milk fat as a binding agent instead of oil.

Missy Bon Bon has three branches in Cagayan De Oro City, one full store at Limketkai Mall and two kiosks at Robinsons and Gaisanao City Mall.
