DAVAO Region's thriving agriculture sector has caught the attention of a Manila-based company, engaged in the distribution of heavy and light farm machineries, which decided to expand its operation in the region.

All Certified Equipment Trading Corp., the country's exclusive distributor of Brazil-manufactured Massey Ferguson tractors, will open tomorrow (Friday) its Davao branch office and showroom, located at Door 3, RAC Building on McArthur Highway in Bangkal, Davao City.

The Davao branch, according to Diosdado "Jojo" Oria, Mindanao area manager, is the second outside Metro Manila after Bacolod City. Available at company's newest branch outlet, are agri-machineries, such as tractors, Japan-made Yanmar Engines for rice threshers and corn shellers, dryers, and other allied products.

"It will be manned by technical personnel to attend to the needs of our clients as the showroom also offers after-sales services," Oria said.

He said the Davao branch is not only looking at the Davao market, but Mindanao as a whole.

"In fact, we already have corporate accounts in Bukidnon and South Cotabato that will be handled by the Davao branch," Oria said.

"We are looking at corporate plantations and private individuals in Mindanao as our target market. We know that one of the major growth drivers in Mindanao's economy is agriculture. Big banana and pineapple plantations are located on the island and we want to serve them by offering quality and affordable products," he added.

The company is the exclusive distributor of Massey Ferguson tractors, one of the leading brands in the market today.

"It's a branded product that is manufactured in Brazil. It's a trusted brand being used in corporate plantations all over the country," Oria said.

The brand, according to a briefer, is simple yet powerful machinery, a four-wheel drive, cab and platform tractor.
