TAKING advantage of Dabawenyos' active lifestyle, leading retail firm, Primer Group of Companies, opened a US-brand store at the 2nd Level of Abreeza of the Ayala Malls in Davao City.

Fox's opening in the city marked the arrival of the brand's second concept store in Asia, following the opening of its first outlet at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City in May, this year.

"People in Davao City are known for their active lifestyle. Many are into mountain biking, wakeboarding and other water sports. These are our target market," Airrica Danas, brand manager, said during the store's opening last week.

The new store offers products from Fox's Motocross, Mountain Bike, Footwear, and Lifestyle Apparel categories for men and women.

Fox joins some of the world's leading action sports and outdoor brand retailers in one of the city's premiere malls.

Also available at the store are sports accessories, including safety gears for bikers and wakeboarders.

"As part of our marketing we are planning to enter into partnership with Deca Wakeboard Park," she said.

Primer Group of Companies CEO Jimmy Thai said "the arrival of Fox in Davao only signifies that the growth and strong emergence of the action sports market in the country will be catered and sustained with much vitality and daring possibilities."

Fox successfully opened its concept stores in various parts of United States, South America, and Africa.

"Davao is such a wonderful city, really one of Philippines finest. This store is a great starting point as we further expand with additional stores in the works already," Danas said.
