City-based food company to complete P3M bldg this year

DAVAO-BASED food company Apo ni Lola is targeting to complete its P3 million three-storey building this year to cater to the demands of the market and their growth.

Apo ni Lola marketing consultant Roldan Maghari, who guested in Monday's edition of Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Dabaw, said the construction of the builiding started in August 2013 and the first floor of the structure has already been completed as of February this year.

The first floor currently houses the store, showroom, and temporarily the food production area. Once completed, the second floor will be the food production area and the third floor will serve as the storage area.


Apo ni Lola supervisor Imee Añabesa said the food production area will comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and standards.

She said they hope to double their production and manpower once the building is completed.

Maghari said this year the company is experiencing a 100% growth rate in terms sales.

He also said they are targeting to put up their first store in one of the malls in Davao City soon.

They are also exploring on developing pastries and coffee products.
Añabesa said they will be rolling out the pastries product in the seocnd quarter of this year.

Some of their products include durian shake, yema (mangosteen, langka, durian, and marang), and their iconic durian sandwich spread.
