PBCom starts activation of biz centers in Davao-A A +A

THE Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCom) has continued to drive its expansion plans as it opens more business centers and ATMs in key cities in the country.
In recent months, it has most notably started activating its centers in Manila, Davao and Cebu as part of its 75th Anniversary celebration.
PBCom is one of the country's oldest banks, starting service in 1939 at the heart of Juan Luna Street in Binondo, the Philippines' Wall Street at the time. In 1974, it came under full Filipino ownership.
In 2012, PBCom welcomed industry veterans Eric O. Recto as chairman and Nina Aguas as president and CEO. With a team consisting of some of the banking community's most respected names, PBCom aims to put focus on invigorating the banking experience of its current clientele while expanding its footprint in the country.
As it marks its 75th year, PBCom aims to deliver even more exceptional growth and service in 2014. This commitment is seen with the launch of more business centers designed to be more customer-friendly, made distinctive by their brightly lit red and white interiors, customer service bays, and glass booths where clients can discuss in detail with their relationship managers. PBCom targets to open more of these business centers in 2014.
In Davao Region, four of these business centers are ready to serve financial products and solutions to the community. These are located in the following areas:
* PBCom Bajada: G/F RAQ JP Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao City
* PBCom Monteverde: 41 Monteverde Avenue, Davao City
* PBCom Quirino: 111 E. Quirino Avenue, Davao City
* PBCom Tagum: Pioneer Avenue, Tagum, Davao del Norte
Each of these business centers is a one-stop shop of three well-developed segments that cater to customers' diverse needs.
Prosperity offers integrated financial solutions, such as time deposits, peso and dollar savings accounts and checking accounts; enterprise and SME offers loans for business; and finally Convenience offers home, auto and personal loans.
PBCom also has an ongoing promotion where customers who open new accounts can get the chance to receive a premium travel wallet, tote or weekend bag.
"As we mark our 75th year in the Philippines, we aim to reach out to more customers and provide them with diverse solutions that will address their banking needs," said Wilber Lim, head for Visayas and Mindanao, PBCom.
"With these offerings, we hope to grow our clientele in Davao and be there to support their business and personal ambitions," he added.
A 70 percent growth in company profit in the first three quarters of 2013 gave a positive outlook for the bank's new leadership. Building on its success, PBCom is aiming to allocate more resources to further its expansion plans in 2014, with investments being made in new technology, increasing their branch network, and leveraging human capital as part of PBCom's end-to-end transformation strategy.
