GCASH, the flagship mobile money service of G-Xchange Inc. (GXI), the mobile commerce arm of Globe Telecom Inc., is expanding its presence all over the country by opening GCash service outlets in all 200 Puregold branches nationwide.

With the expansion, all GCash subscribers, Puregold's Tindahan ni Aling Puring members composed of sari-sari store owners, carinderia operators, food resellers, and bulk buyers and other customers can avail of any GCash service at any Puregold outlet.

Puregold's oulet in Davao City is located on national highway in Sasa. These GCash services include Bills Payment, International Remittance, Domestic Remittance (Send and Receive Money), Cash-in/Cash-out, and POS Payment.

The availability of GCash in Puregold branches is set to provide convenience to Puregold shoppers who have GCash accounts, as well as to Tindahan ni Aling Puring members and other Puregold customers in claiming their remittances, sending money within the Philippines, and paying their bills through Puregold’s Customer Service area at a Puregold branch nearest them.

"We are happy to forge a stronger partnership with Puregold, one of the largest supermarket chains in the country, with the availability of GCash across all their branches. I am confident that with this initiative, we will continue to boost growth of the mobile money industry in the country. With GCash, customers will have the speed, convenience, and safety when it comes to money transfer services. The one-stop mobile money service is now available in a one-stop shopping venue," GXI president Paolo Eugenio J. Baltao said.

"Partnering with Globe GCash gives us another opportunity to give back to our loyal Aling Puring members and customers who never fail to support our business. With GCash, we can now provide a more convenient and hassle-free experience to customers in claiming remittances and paying their bills," Puregold Price Club Inc. (PPCI) marketing director Vincent Co said.

The partnership between Globe and Puregold began in 2010 when the Aling Puring Super Suki SIM card was launched. It is a special multi-function SIM card exclusively for Puregold's Aling Puring members that allow them to receive text blast announcements, promos, reminders at discounted call and text rates.

In 2011, a reloading channel for Globe prepaid and TM subscribers, as well as AutoloadMax retailers was unveiled, allowing Puregold customers and Globe subscribers to buy prepaid load for as low as P500 to as much as P150,000 from Puregold branches nationwide via its point-of-sale (POS) technology.
