City of Naga's junior netters dominated the 18-Under division of the 2015 Citigreen Junior Tennis Cup.

The tournament is a Group 5 Philippine Tennis Association (Philta) event and attracted 124 entries from the Visayas and Mindanao.

John Clyde Laquio defeated Norman Joseph Enriquez, 10-5 in the Boys 18-Under finals, while Shyne Villareal won without a sweat after fellow Nagaonon and Bright Academy teammate Zethley Mae Alferez defaulted in her match.

Alferez, who usually dominates the local tournaments, didn’t show up on time in her final matches both in the Girls 18-Under and 16-
Under divisions, forcing tournament director Mario Craiz to declare a winner by default. Villareal also captured the girls 16-Under.

Clyde Marie Casino, on the other hand, won without a sweat against Jyle Cyrin Martinez via walk over to win the Boys 16-Under title.

Carcar City’s Elizabeth Abarquez routed Pherl Bless Coderos of the University of the Visayas (UV), 10-4 to take the Girls 14-Under crown while Martinez defeated Jace Unto, 10-2, to win the Boys 14-Under crown.

In the boys 12 Under, Cebu’s Gabriel Andre Trazo scored an upset against top seed Justin Yepis of Cagayan De Oro City, 10-2 while in the distaff side Lyra Mae Repollo captured the girls 12-Under title against Tiffany Claire Nocos, 10-4. However Nocos bounced back and captured the 10-Under unisex title.
