PROMISING prospect Renoel Pael returns to Japan for his second fight outside the country.

Pael faces off with Japanese newcomer Yuki Yonaha in one of the fights of Real Spirits vol. 38 – “Philippines vs. Japan” this Friday night at the Kobe Municipal Central Gym.

Pael along with his coach Brix Flores and an American coach Joe Clough will fly today at 9 PM to Manila followed by a 3 PM flight to Japan.

Pael has had a bad experience in his only other fight outside the Philippines, wherein he was on the losing end of a split decision.

This time the 23-year-old Cebu-based boxer isn’t leaving it to the hands of the

“He is in great condition. Our target is really a knockout so that there will be no hometown decision. We just can’t say what round (we are going to knock him out),” Flores told Sun.Star Cebu.

Pael fought in Thailand last Feb. 28 and lost a close split decision to veteran Thai Noknoi Sitthiprasert.

After that loss, Pael was back in the winning column with a unanimous decision over journeyman Jonathan Ricablanca.

Pael is 13-1-1 with five knockouts, while Yonaha is 3-1 with three knockouts.

Yonaha just suffered his first career defeat with unanimous decision loss in the hands of Takayuki Okumoto last April and is hungry to return to his winning ways.

Pael has logged more than a hundred rounds for this fight and has sparred with the likes of unbeaten Neil John Tabanao and experienced Gerpaul Valero.

Three other Pinoys are fighting in the boxing show.

Renren Pasignahin (6-3-1, 2 KOs) slugs it out with undefeated up-and-comer Shun Kubo (4-0, 3 KOs), Jhunriel Ramonal (13-7-4, 7 KOs) locks horns with Kota Fukuoka (15-4-2, 12 KOs) and journeyman Roque Lauro (10-16-4, 2 KOs) slugs it out with 19-year-old prospect Ryuya Yamanaka (7-1, 2 KOs).
