A MIXED of new and seasoned players are expected to join today’s second leg of the Cebu City Sports Commission Beach Volleyball tournament at the Fort Sand Court in the Plaza Independencia.

The tournament is composed of four series using the king of the beach format with the opportunity for the rookie players to be paired with some of Cebu’s best players.

The first leg was captured by the University of San Carlos (USC) beach volleyball rookie player James Montante after accumulating 63 points, beating seasoned players such as Louie Tipgos, Jade Becaldo and Rommel Pepito.

Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) beach volleyball consultant Eric LeCain confirmed that Montante will be joining the second leg with the hope to maintain his dominance throughout the series. (ISL)
