XTERRA pro Joseph Miller will be sidelined for two to three weeks due to bruised ribs he suffered after Xterra Malaysia last May 4 in Kuala Lumpur.
The newly-turned pro raced strong in Malaysia where he took seventh place and bagged $400.
The Cebu-based triathlete was home for an upcoming local event when he noticed that he had a hard time breathing.
When he had it checked, they found out that he has bruised ribs.
“I have bruised ribs, and I can hardly breathe. The doctor advised me to rest for a span of two to three weeks,” Miller told Sun.Star Cebu.
Miller debuted his pro career in the Xterra Asia-Pacific Championships in Australia last April.
He followed it up with a stint in Malysia.
Miller earlier said that he will compete in Bogo 8080, but the latest setback has put this plan on hold.
However, after the rest, he will have ample amount of time to prepare for the Ironman 70.3 in Cebu on Aug. 3. (RSC)
