HANNAH Espinosa shocked Cebu’s top women’s player Sally Mae Siso, 6-3, 6-1 in their quarterfinal of the 3rd National Men and Women’s Invitational Tennis Championship in Davao City.

Espinosa, 19, is Siso’s former teammate and now plays for the National University (NU) tennis team. She dreams of becoming a professional tennis
player and finally beating Siso, who won all their meetings in their age group days.

“I always lose to Em-em in all of our matches ever since I started playing tennis. To finally beat her was a dream come true,” said Espinosa.
However, Espinosa bowed to eventual champion Edilyn Balanga in the semifinals.

Siso, on the other hand, was very impressed by how Espinosa played.

“Hannah’s game play has changed over the years. Grabe iyang improvement and I can say pang high level na iyang dinula-an,” Siso said.
