ATENEO de Cebu (AdC) arranged a finals clash with rival school Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC)-2 following semifinal victory yesterday in the Boys Under-15 division of the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup at the DBTC football pitch.

The Magis Eagles outclassed Abellana National School (ANS)-Pomeroy in both the offensive and defensive ends for a 3-0 rout.

ANS-Pomeroy looked lost on defense and also couldn’t find their rhythm on offense. AdC's Hans Parel drew first blood in the 33rd minute scoring a rolling ball just outside the box.

Skipper Lex Buenaventura would make it 2-0 for the Magis Eagles converting an impressive 30 yard long shot from a free kick.

Striker Joshua Shields would place the icing on the cake with a strike from inside the box.

DBTC-2 beat Springdale, 3-0, in penalty shootout the other day in the other semi-final match of the Boys Under-15 division.

Queen City United (QCU) proved that they are still the team to beat in the Men's Open division after an easy victory over Japanese-laden Rising Sun.

Dan Villarico opened up the match with a goal in the 13th minute. It was followed up by another goal in the 28th by Ariel Cahilig. Yusuke Nakagawa answered back with a shot in the 38th minute.

That was the closest Rising Sun would be because from then on it was all QCU.

Nji Cyrille Mokulo hit one of his two goals in the 53rd, while Junard Aguilar would find the back of the net in the 66th minute.

Mokulo would once again score in the 78th, while Joseph Rodriguez would hit the nail on the coffin in the 94th minute with another goal.

In other Men's Open matches, San Roque Rehab beat CAFC, 5-2; Erco FC demolished Magone, 8-0; Leylam FC didn't break a single sweat with a default 3-0 win over Don Bosco United FC; University of Cebu edged out Samba FC, 3-2; and Crazy Horse scored a one-sided 12-4 victory over KTEC Trading. (EKA)
