DAVE Peñalosa gets his toughest test to date as he faces his first Mexican opponent this month.

Dave takes on his older brother Dodie Boy Jr.’s former opponent Alem Robles in one of the featured bouts in MAG Pacman Boxing’s second show on March 14 at the Yñares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The 23-year-old Cebuano made his debut in 2011 and has won all his fights, with his last three against Thai opponents. Dave was impressive in his last fight in a Top Rank-promoted event in Macau. He stopped Ngaotawan Sithsaithong in three rounds at the Coatai Arena.

Robles, on the other hand, dropped his last fight by technical decision against Dodie Boy Jr. The fight was stopped after Dodie Boy Jr. suffered a cut on his right eyelid.

Dave, the son of two-division world champion Dodie Boy Peñalosa Sr., is 7-0 with five knockouts, while Robles is 6-4-2 with two knockouts.

The main event features former world title challenger Michael Farenas taking on
Mexican Miguel Zamudio in a 12-round fight for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight crown.

Farenas has won three in a row since losing a unanimous decision to unbeaten Cuban star Yuriorkis Gamboa in 2012.

Zamudio, in the meantime, won his last fight against newcomer Roberto Rodriguez after losing back-to-back fights.

Farenas is 37-4-4 with 29 knockouts, while Zamudio 26-3-1 with 14 knockouts.
