TALISAY Minuluan FC (TMFC) returns to Talisay City, Negros Occidental two trophies heavier after winning another crown last night in the 11th Thirsty Football Cup at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

After winning the Girls Under-18 title, TMFC snagged the Ladies Open crown with a 2-0 penalty shootout victory over Brainbos.

TMFC was more aggressive and controlled the ball most of the match. However, they were unlucky with their shots that mostly went wide.

The match was scoreless at the end of regulation.

In the penalty shootout TMFC goalkeeper Ivy Lopez showed her impressive custodian skills and blocked the first penalty shot by Brain Bos. Irish Navaja converted her kick to give TMFC a 1-0 lead.

The next kicker of Brainbos went wide and TMFC was just a goal away from winning the crown. Noelle Mikaela de Asis made sure that Brainbos won’t be given an opportunity to answer back after converting her penalty shot.

Charisse Lemoran was named the MVP of the division.

TMFC came into the quarter finals as the second seeded squad. However, they showed that they are a championship squad by beating San Roque FC, 3-0. TMFC barged in to the finals with a 4-3 penalty shootout win over University of San Carlos (USC) Green, Meanwhile, Don Bosco-E grabbed the Mixed Under-11 title with a 2-1 win over Giuseppe FC.
