DENNIS Orcollo fought to get out of the one-loss bracket by putting down the hard labor of compatriot and stablemate Carlo Biado twice and beating Mika Immonen, 11-5, to keep the 2014 Jay Swanson “Swanee” Memorial 9-Ball Tournament title at the Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower California, USA.

Orcollo scored six straight wins before losing to Finland’s Mika Immonen, that sent him to the losers’ bracket.

Orcollo first met fellow Bugsy Promotion star, Biado, who is also the Sun.Star Superbalita 9-Ball champion in 2012, in the fourth round, then defeated Miza Estrada for a spot in the winner’s side semifinal round against Hunter Lombardo.

The former world No.1 Orcollo defeated Lombardo in the semifinal, 7-2, before he was
sent to the loser’s bracket by Immonen.

Biado, meanwhile, had to struggle from the one-loss side defeated Mitch Ellerman 7-4, Santos Sambajon Jr., 7-3, Lombardo 7-1 and Oscar Dominguez 7-4 to get the chance to get back at Orcollo.

However, Orcollo proved steadier as he dealt Biado another 7-5 bashing to get another shot at Immonen for the title.
