THE Cebu City Niños earned a trip to the finals in both the secondary and elementary divisions of the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association football tournament on the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) football pitch.

Cebu Province also advanced to the secondary division finals, while Mandaue City made the finals in the elementary division, making it an all-Cebu championship for both divisions.

Cebu City beat Bayawan City, 4-1, in the secondary division.

The secondary division Niños side struck first and hit the back of the net compliments of Vincent Lovitos. Angelo Ouano quickly followed it up scoring seven minutes after to give Cebu City a 2-0 lead.

Rolfe Librilla would cut down the lead after scoring in the 45th minute.

The Niños, however, would dominate the second half, scoring two more goals – one by Lovitos in the 57th and another by Moiselle Alforque in the 63rd.

Cebu Province outclassed Mandaue City, 4-0, in the other secondary division semi-finals.

The dominant victory was because of the dynamic duo of Gideon Figuracion and Alemark Juampit.

Figuracion drew first blood, scoring a quick goal in the sixth minute. Jumapit hit the back of the net just two minutes after and would add another one in the 12th minute.

Figuracion would place the icing on the cake with another goal in the 15th minute.

In the meantime, Cebu City demolished Bohol, 6-1, while Mandaue City crushed Negros Oriental, 4-0, in the elementary division semi-finals.

The elementary division semifinals between Cebu City and Mandaue City, and the battle for third match between Bohol and Negros Oriental will simultaneously be played at 7 a.m. today. It will be followed by the secondary division championship match between Cebu City and Cebu Province; and the battle-for-third match between Bayawan City and Mandaue City.
