THE Private Schools Athletic Association Prisaa 7 is gunning for a four-peat in the National Prisaa this April in Tagum City.

To make it happen, they will make sure that they will be able to gather the best athletes in the PRISAA 7 Regional Meet that will open at 8 a.m. this Saturday at the University of San Carlos Gym.

It will be participated by more than 100 athletes coming from Cebu, Bohol and Dumaguete.

Prisaa 7 dominated the National Prisaa for three years and hopes to keep the supremacy even if most parts of the region were devastated by calamities late last year.

Bohol is expected to send the best teams in baseball, softball and women’s basketball.

“Although Prisaa-Bohol was heavily devastated by the earthquake, Fr. Vic Uy said they will still be sending athletes in the three sporting events that Cebu is not known for,” said Prisaa Cebu official Danilo Villadolid during yesterday's press conference together with the University of San Carlos’s new athletic director Fr. Andring Ocariza, Southwestern University’s (SWU) Ryan Aznar, University of Cebu’s Bernard Ricablanca, Cebu Doctors’ University’s Cathy Vestil and University of the Visayas’s Cris Mejarito.

This year, the national Prisaa will include the high school division to give athletes more exposure aside from the Palarong Pambansa.

The multi-event meet will feature athletics, swimming, volleyball girls, beach volleyball girls and chess.
