Silvano eyes KO

VIRGILIO Silvano will defend his Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight belt against a hungry Mark Anthony Florida in the main event of IPI’s boxing show in the Dalaguete Sports Complex.

“Yes. I will knock him out,” Silvano said yesterday.

Silvano’s trainer, Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora, also believes that his young ward should end the fight with a bang following his disappointing unanimous decision loss to IBF mini-flyweight king Katsunari Takayama last Dec. 3 in Osaka, Japan.


Silvano, who is rated No. 8 in the IBF mini-flyweight division, is 17-3-1 with 10 knockouts, while Florida is 8-3 with seven knockouts.
