Reynante rules Ronda Stage 4

LLOYD Lucien Reynante of Team Philippine Navy/Standard Insurance (PNS) yesterday topped stage 4 of the Ronda Pilipinas 2014 from San Pablo, Laguna to Lucena City.

Reynante finished the 103.7K race in 2:43:35 in a very close race against Jeroen Breewel of team Dutch Global Cycling Team who secured the second spot, PLDT Maynilad Pro team members Junrey Navarra and Ronald Lomotos in the third and fourth spot, respectively, while Edgar Nieto of Road Bike Philippines settled for fifth.

However, Cris Joven of 7-11 continental team still wears the red jersey as he still leads in the overall individual classification by time with 13:20:56. Stage 4 winner Reynante was 10 minutes behind race leader Joven with 13:31:05.


In the team overall classification, Team Cebu-Kalit Philippine Air Force with 40:27:12 managed to climb from No. 7 to No. 6 even if none of the team members made it to the top ten on Stage 4 individual classification.

Team Cebu-Kalit Philippine Air Force is composed of team captain Warren Davilla, Elmer Navarro, Lito Atilano, Tomas Martinez Oscar Rindole and Joseph Millanes.

The overall team classification leader is the team of Cycleline Butuan-Mindanao with 40:11:00, just 39 secs. ahead of the 7-11 continental team with 4:11:39. The third spot was secured by the Philippine Navy/Standard Insurance with 40:18:34.

In the overall individual classification for best Filipino rider, Joven led, followed by Riemon Lapaza of Cycleline Butuan-Mindanao and Cebu’s bet Rindole in third.
