Orcollo tops Derby City Classic-A A +A

DENNIS Orcollo scored another outstanding victory, as he topped the Master of the Table tournament of the 16th Annual Derby City Classic (DCC) at the Horseshoe Casino Hotel in Southern Indiana.
The title came at the heels of his championship finish in the 14.1 (Straight Pool) and 9-Ball Banks Division, which was participated by some of the world’s best billiards players including Filipino legends Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco “Django” Bustamante.
Orcollo defeated American Shane Van Boening in the finals to claim the $20,000 reward for the Masters of the Table champion.
All-in-all, Orcollo earned a total of $38,000 in the DCC events as he also earned $10,000 for winning the 9-Ball Banks Division after defeating compatriot Bustamante; $3,000 for winning the 14.1 (1st George Fels Memorial Straight Pool Challenge) after beating Russian Konstantin Stepanov; $2,850 for finishing fourth in the 9-Ball Division and $2,200 for placing fourth in the One Pocket Division.
Reyes won the One Pocket Division, third at the Master of the Table, 6th in the 9-Ball Division and 25th in the 9-Ball Banks while Bustamante also placed second in the Bank Pool Ring Game.
