Andrin, Simat win Run to Rebuild Bogo

LOVELY Fe Andrin and Kenyan Isaac Simat captured the women’s and men’s 14K titles of the Run to Rebuild Bogo yesterday at the Parkmall, Mandaue City.

Andrin crossed the finish line in 1:03:39 to beat her sister Jane by a few seconds.

Sandia Sollano came in third with 1:06:35, while reigning All Women Ultramarathon (AWUM) champion Jade Abellana and Aya Aldega came in at fourht and fifth places, respectively.


In the men’s division, Kenyan runners secured the top three spots with Simat winning the crown in 46:38, James Mlbei coming in second with 49:25 and Abraham Misos at third with 49:27. Ultra runner Paul James Zafico and Alvirg Busa complete the top five.

In the 7K division, Rafael Pescos crossed the finish line in 25:38, followed by Casio Monjas 20 seconds later. Prince Joey Lee came in at third place with 26:30.
