PRO boxer Jujeath Nagaowa makes a transition to the rising sport of MMA as she makes her debut against Malaysian muay thai fighter Siti Syahida Binte Adek on Dec. 6 in the ONE FC – Moment of Truth at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Nagaowa is one of the six Filipino fighters that will be seeing action in ONE FC’s third show here in the Philippines.
After more than seven years as a pro pugilist, Nagaowa trades the boxing gloves for the smaller four-ounce MMA gloves. She is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Female atomweight champion with a boxing record of 12-13-1 with eight knockouts.
The 26-year-old Baguio City native has fought for a world title in multiple occasions.
However, she lost her last crack at a world crown with a unanimous decision defeat in the hands of Momo Koseki. She has lost back-to-back fights to Ji-Hyun Park.
The main event features a title rematch between ONE FC featherweight champion Koji Oishi (24-9-10) and Team Lakay’s Honorio Banario (8-2).
In the undercard, Kevin Belingon (11-3) faces off with unbeaten Spanish fighter David Aranda Santacana (9-0); Eduard Folayang (12-4) is up against Vincent Latoel (14-13-2); and Team Lakay’s Geje Eustaquio (4-2) takes on Cebuano striker Eugene Toquero (4-0).
