"Love each other"-A A +A
Tuesday, July 22, 2014
President Noynoy Aquino, in a message on Monday's launching of Iglesia ni Cristo's (INC) Philippine Arena, said to be the biggest indoor arena in the world, reminded his critics who hit him for anything he does to "love each other."
"Let me remind them, if we are fellow Christians it is our duty to love each other in the name of God instead of sowing doubt and discord," PNoy said.
After warning the Supreme Court of a judicial-executive clash for declaring his Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) unconstitutional, could PNoy still reap love?
PNoy quoted John 13:34-35, which said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
After he quoted that Bible passage, two more impeachment cases were filed against him, both of which were endorsed by a member of the House of Representatives.
Let's hope PNoy still finds love in the time of impeachment.
PNoy also urged followers of the Lord to "always help each other for the good of all" and "always serve as springs of hope and compassion for our neighbours, especially those in need."
PNoy said this a week after his rating in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey dropped from 45 to 25, his lowest ratings in his 4-year presidency.
When you're down, it pays to have a helping hand.
PNoy's allies are confident the impeachment raps against him will not prosper because of his influence over the House of Representatives.
It would have been different if PNoy were the one orchestrating the impeachment.
PNoy is still the most powerful and influential person in the country. As such, only PNoy can impeach himself.
