Driving lessons

-A A +A

(The letter is addressed to Erma M. Cuizon of Sun.Star Cebu)

Your Sunday article regarding driving was very well done.

I have driven a vehicle in many parts of the world over the past 65 years but have designated the chore recently to my younger wife.

But I still remember an important question asked during a driver’s test when I was in the United States Air Force stationed in Puerto Rico: What gear do you use when going downhill?

Answer: The same gear used in going up the hill.

This one rule, if followed, would save many lives.--Mel Davis, an American expat
